How is the training program going? I've been following many of the traditional running programs to complete many 100 milers over the years. Last year, when training for the TOR des Geants (200 mi, multi-day race), I started incorporating strength training as prescribed by Uphill Athlete (Steve House, climber) and had great results. I saw MTNTOUGH as part of the Crazy Mountain 100 - this is my first time login in to the site and appreciate everyone's comments on this thread on how MTNTough can be the strength component for mountain running.

Hey MTNTOUGHers, happy to report that MTNTOUGH strength work, rucking, and mostly aerobic Swim/Bike/Run work prepared me well for 2024 Ironman Texas. Completed the race with some gas in the tank. Multiple people reported I was one of a handful of runners running with a smile out there in the humid and windy conditions. It was an incredible day, and I will encourage anyone wanting to do their first triathlon to go for it. Even if swimming isn't your thing (I swam like a lead brick in Nov 2023), don't let that stop you. Reach out if you don't know where to start. Cheers, Cyle
Congratulations
