MTNTOUGH Fitness Lab workouts are specifically tailored for Back-Country, LEO, Military and Fire Fighter athletes. MTNTOUGH routines are carefully programmed to help athletes build functional strength, durability, and endurance.
Welcome to MTNTOUGH Gym Foundation. We wrote this program for the athlete that is new to the gym environment or has taken some time off from their fitness journey and needs direction.
Gym Foundation lays the groundwork for most of MTNTOUGH’s other gym programs. This program is 4 days a week, two strength days, and two conditioning days. The warmups and cool downs will remain the same throughout the entire 8 weeks. Each day is performed circuit-style, performing 3-5 exercises per block. You will see each movement several times throughout the 8 weeks in order to conquer our most fundamental exercises. The workouts will change slightly every 2 weeks to ensure progressive overload.
We suggest starting with lighter weights when performing a new exercise and then increasing weight once you feel you have improved form and technique. Most of our workouts have 4-6 sets of each block - which means your warm ups sets are built in and allow for 1-2 warmup sets with lighter weights.
