Overview
Build your mountain-ready foundation with MTNTOUGH Gym Foundation, designed for athletes familiar with gym workouts but new to functional training. This 8-week program lays the groundwork for Backcountry Hunter and other MTNTOUGH gym programs, perfect for aspiring mountain athletes. It delivers circuit-style sessions to master fundamental movements, building strength, mobility, and endurance for rugged terrain. Led by head coach Sarah Maschino via video demonstrations and supporting PDFs, it includes progressive overload every two weeks to ensure steady gains, with the option to repeat to build confidence before progressing to Backcountry Hunter programs in the MTNTOUGH+ app.
Key Features
Format: Follow-along and self-guided workouts with video demonstrations by head coach Sarah Maschino and supporting PDFs, accessible on any device via the MTNTOUGH+ app.
Duration: Eight-week program with four workouts per week (two strength, two conditioning).
Workout Length: 45-60 minutes, including warmups, 3-5 exercise circuits, and cool downs.
Focus: Fundamental movements to build strength, mobility, and endurance for rugged terrain.
