Transform into a mountain-ready hunter in 16 weeks. Evolved from 9 years of R&D with elite backcountry hunters, Preseason Prep 2.0 is a 16-week program designed to enhance your strength, speed, and resilience in the mountains. This program is our flagship full-gym program, used by thousands of sheep and elk hunters. This program is proven to ensure peak performance in rugged, uneven terrain, high elevation, packouts, and multi-day backpack hunting. Train to conquer the backcountry with mission-specific exercises, hybrid strength/endurance, and injury prevention strategies.
Note: Not a beginner program. Complete “Gym Foundation” first in the MTNTOUGH+ app. Progress to In-Season Training after this program.
FORMAT: Follow along and self guided workouts via supporting PDFs, accessible on any device via the MTNTOUGH+ app (other programs available in the app).
DURATION: Sixteen-week program split into two phases, with 5 workouts per week.
WORKOUT LENGTHS: 60-90 minutes, including warmups, functional training, and cool downs.
GEAR: Full gym setup—cardio machines (assault bike, rower, or treadmill), barbells, free weights, sled, and backpack/ruck (modifications available).
