"A lot of guys are going down with heat casualties. A lot of guys are going down with heat stroke. I'm seeing them fall all over the place. And I am really feeling the effects. And as we got to a point where there was a pause, and they had to give us water because they were required to, and I went and myself and a lot of the other ranger students were just pouring water over our heads. And one of the instructors came over. I'll never forget this. And this was over 30 years ago, and he came over and clearly he had recognized that this time they'd pushed the envelope a little too far, some of the guys were getting hurt, but this is the nature of the game. This is how it is. And he came up and he gently tapped me. And he had no clue who I was." - Ara
