I've been doing minimal gear (on-ramp, foundation, kettlebell programs, sandbag) for about 8 months. I've made a lot of progress, but still pretty sore and wiped out on weekends after the 5 days of work.
I'm mainly a long weekend weekend (3-4 days) warrior during hunting season and don't want to be wiped out every weekend. Do you have a suggestion for keeping my strength up during the week and being ready for the weekend? You have an in season full gym program, but should i just do like 2-3 MGDs?
Thanks!
MGDs are a great option. Keep your energy levels high so that you can pound the hills. Do mobility https://lab.mtntough.com/mobility-workouts-for-the-functional-athlete and make sure you are fueling correctly. Hiking under load will help keep your strength up! Keep us posted on your season!
