I've finished my first week of Pre-Season Prep 50+ and really enjoyed it. I have to leave next week for a work trip (Mon - Thur), then back home a week with yet antoher trip the week after (again, Mon - Thurs). Looking for recommendations on how adjust programming knowing I'll be in a hotel. Do I do bodyweight foundation, then pick back up with week 2 of PP50+, then do another week of BW FDN before picking up week 3 of PP50+. Should I just do a BW daily workout? I'm quote bummed to have this program interrupted and want to keep the momentum up as bouncing back from an injury at 52 with this PP50+ program has been great. That and I have my first ever bull elk tag for last week of September (archery) and I'm so excited and focused on making sure I'm ready for that week long trip.
Travel interrupting program - good alternative?
I'm curious about this, too. I'm about to finish week 3 of Preseason Prep full gym. But I'm heading out of the country for 12 days. First major hunt this year isn't until November, so I have plenty of time. Still, that feels like a long gap to then just jump back into week 4 of PP? Any suggestions on how / what to do during that period of time so that I don't totally bonk when I get back? Hike / jog while traveling? Lots of bodyweight work or plyometrics on the hotel room floor?
Ok, after digging around looks like the body weight workouts (on ramp, foundation, 30-30) are the go-to moves while traveling.
Aside - I'm surprised now inactive these forums are given the # of people using these programs. Is there another place/forum where more discussion is taking place? Maybe off the blogs or podcasts? Solcial media somewhere?
Agreed, the forums are really not active at all. However, I also emailed customer support back when I posted and they got me an answer back the next day. I did just what you suggested and did random Bodyweight Foundation workouts in my hotel room and it went fine. Not ideal with not much space, but was doable. I could have gone to hotel fitness center, but just made it work in the room.
