I've been addicted to the MTNTOUGH program since last fall. Following last year's hunting season, I completed post-season strength 2.0, followed by spring training camp 2.0. I've been dedicated to completing preseason prep 2.0, and I injured my left shoulder this past weekend. I'm leaving for my backcountry Idaho elk hunt in mid-September, and I feel like I'm in that critical training window where I don't want to take my foot off the gas pedal.
How should I alter my training to allow my shoulder to heal properly, while still working towards peak hunting season conditioning? So many of the remaining PSP 2.0 workouts include things that will further strain my shoulder, but I don't want to lose all of the strength and conditioning I've gained by focusing just on running and rucking from now until the season begins. Any suggestions or alternative MTNTOUGH programs I could be following would be extremely helpful!
